Kadyrov Orders 50% Salary Increase for Chechen Journalists

During the solemn celebration of World Television Day on November 21, Sultan Tagaev, the Minister of Finance of the Chechen Federal Republic, announced that Chechen journalists will have their salaries increased by 50%.
"By order of Ramzan Akhmatovich Kadyrov, the head of the Chechen [Federal] Republic, journalists will have their salaries increased by 50% from the beginning of 2024. May God Almighty reward him with good for this. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all television workers on their professional holiday. Success and good luck in everything," he added.
Kadyrov noted, "Chechen television is not lagging behind, and in some places is even ahead of the leading Russian media. Under the leadership of my dear brother, Chechen Minister for National Policy, Foreign Relations, Press and Information Akhmed Dudayev, the regional media are successfully countering information attacks and ideological sabotage by enemy propaganda. They play an important role in the positive processes being observed in the republic. Exciting reports, operative shots from the epicenter of various events, vivid TV shows - all this is our television crews' skillful creativity and professionalism."
