
Magdalena Grono Appointed New EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Georgia

The European Union's Political and Security Committee has approved the appointment of a new EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Georgia. Magdalena Grono will take on this important role, succeeding the current representative, Toivo Klaar.
Toivo Klaar, the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Georgia, congratulated his successor in a statement. "The Political and Security Committee (PSC) has just confirmed the appointment of Magdalena Grono as the EUSR for the South Caucasus and Georgia. The nomination will be formally confirmed by the EU Council. Congratulations and best of luck in the new role," he retweeted on X.
