Nikol Pashinyan: "Comprehensive Peace Can Ensure Strategic Security of Armenia"

Speaking during the government hour in the Parliament on May 3, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that only a comprehensive peace can ensure the strategic security of Armenia.
According to the head of government, the international situation directly affects the situation in the region. "In our region, the systems of security and stability have been deformed or are deforming. This means that we face additional challenges. The system that was originally supposed to ensure security and stability in our region is not working effectively enough," the Prime Minister added.
The answer to the question of what can ensure or guarantee the security of Armenia in strategic terms, according to Pashinyan, is unambiguous: comprehensive peace can provide security. The Armenian leader further expressed his confidence that peace is possible. But this requires political will and clear parameters for achieving the goal. "Obviously, we have the political will to achieve peace. Here the question is how much we will be able to form such parameters of the world within the framework of the negotiation process (with Azerbaijan) that can be acceptable for Armenia, for the people of Armenia," Pashinyan said.
