
Russian Foreign Ministry: "Washington and Brussels Putting Pressure on Armenia to Make Its Leadership Withdraw from CSTO"

At a briefing on September 27, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said that Washington and Brussels are putting pressure on Armenia to make its leadership decide to withdraw from the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
"According to incoming information, Washington and Brussels are persuading the Armenian leadership to withdraw from the CSTO, force cooperation with NATO, reorient the CSTO [military-technical cooperation program] and sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan without taking into account the rights and security of Karabakh Armenians," the official said.
According to her, colossal resources are now being spent on processing the media sphere in Armenia. "2,000 people are employees of the Embassy of the United States of America who are engaged in this very task. Information processing of the information space in Armenia," Zakharova noted. The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman noted that Russia and the whole world are watching this activity.
