
Salaries of Officials of Ingushetia to Increase by 20%

The People's Assembly of Ingushetia, in the first reading, adopted a law on raising the salaries of civil servants. The law was sent to the parliament by Mahmud-Ali Kalimatov, the head of the federal republic.
The authorities of Ingushetia plan to increase officials' salaries by 20%. "In order to bring the salaries of state civil servants of Ingushetia closer to the average established for the corresponding category of employees in the regions of the North Caucasus District, it is proposed to increase their salaries by 20%," the bill reads.
As previously reported by Caucasus Watch, according to the Unified Interdepartmental Information and Statistical System data, as of December 2022, six regions of the South and North Caucasus were in Russia's top 15 constituent entities in terms of unemployment. Ingushetia was among the outsiders.
