
Syria and Armenia Explore New Avenues for Collaboration and Regular Dialogue

On January 27, Armenia's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vahan Kostanyan, met with Syrian Foreign Minister, Asaad al-Shaybani, in Damascus.
Deputy Minister Kostanyan conveyed Armenia's commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Syria and expressed gratitude for the warm reception. The discussions focused on potential areas of cooperation, with Kostanyan reaffirming Armenia's readiness to support Syria in humanitarian initiatives, reform implementation, and other priority programs.
Both sides emphasized the historical ties between Armenia and Syria, highlighting the importance of fostering solidarity and inclusiveness within Syrian society. They also exchanged views on regional developments and underlined the importance of normalizing relations with neighboring countries.
The Syrian side appreciated the Armenian delegation's visit and expressed interest in deepening bilateral contacts. Both parties agreed to maintain regular dialogue moving forward.
