
Tbilisi Court Sentences Georgian National to 12 Years for Joining ISIS

On August 15, based on the Prosecutor's Office's evidence, the Tbilisi City Court convicted Tsiskara Tokhosashvili guilty of joining a foreign terrorist group and aiding in terrorist acts.
Tokhosashvili was accused of helping terrorist operations and joining a foreign terrorist organization in violation of Georgian Criminal Code Article 328. According to the evidence analyzed during the trial, the trial's evidence proved that the accused joined the terrorist organization ISIS and actively participated in the armed actions carried out by the "Islamic State" on the territory of Syria.
The court found the defendant guilty and sentenced him to 12 years of imprisonment.
