Tbilisi Mayor Kaladze Urges Return of Saakashvili to Prison from Clinic

On December 21, Kakha Kaladze, the Georgian Dream General Secretary and Tbilisi Mayor, said it was time for former President Mikheil Saakashvili to stop serving his sentence in a medical clinic and return to prison.
"He is in great shape, he looks good. Perhaps the relevant department will make a decision," Kaladze added. According to the Georgian Dream General Secretary, Saakashvili had no serious health problems as it was, he was just on a diet.
Notably, in October 2021, Saakashvili was detained and sent to prison in absentia on two previous convictions against him. Then, he went on a hunger strike and was transferred from jail to the private Vivamed clinic in Tbilisi.
