Unofficially: Prominent Сritic of Kadyrov Murdered in Sweden

On December 5, Chechen opposition groups stated that Tumso Abdurakhmanov, a dissident Chechen blogger who lives in Sweden, was murdered.
The social movement and Telegram channel 1Adat stated that Abdurakhmanov had been shot dead, citing sources in Chechnya and Europe. According to reports, his brother Mohmad Abdurakhmanov is currently being held in protective custody. A fan of Abdurakhmanov and former representative of the internationally non-recognized Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, Anzor Maskhadov, also verified the blogger's demise in a video message.
The Swedish police do not confirm or comment on reports of the murder of Chechen opposition blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov. "The Swedish Police Department is aware of media reports about the murder of a person living in Sweden. The Police Department cannot confirm these media reports or provide any further comments," Iren Sokolov, the Swedish Police Spokeswoman, added.
Notably, Abdurakhmanov has been a vocal opponent of the Ramzan Kadyrov-led Chechen government and other Russian authorities in Chechnya. In February 2020, a stranger stormed into his Sweden home and assaulted him with a hammer, but he survived. Abdurakhmanov was able to stop the assailant and escape with only minor wounds. According to reports, Mohmad Abdurakhmanov was the subject of an attempted murder in Germany the previous year.
