Suren Papikyan Meets Egypt’s New Ambassador

On November 28, Suren Papikyan, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia, received Amal Afifi, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Armenia. Minister Papikyan congratulated the ambassador on her new position. The discussion focused on prospects for Armenia–Egypt cooperation in the defence sector, and the parties also exchanged views on various regional and international security issues. On November 30, a delegation led by Minister Papikyan arrived in the Arab Republic of Egypt for a working visit.

Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan Advances Military Cooperation With Georgia And Belarus

On November 24, a meeting was held at the Military Management Institute of the Azerbaijan National Defense University with the leadership of the Defense Institution Building School (DIBS) of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia. The meeting aimed to engage with education experts under the "Defense and Security Strategic Program" between the Azerbaijani and Georgian Defense Ministries and to familiarize the Georgian delegation with Azerbaijan’s security and defense policy.

Within the framework of military cooperation, on November 25, Baku hosted a meeting between military specialists from the Azerbaijani and Belarusian Defense Ministries. The discussions focused on exchanging military experience, organizing joint exercises, improving interoperability, and expanding the cooperation plan.

Azerbaijan And Israel Discuss Military-Technical Cooperation

On November 27, Zakir Hasanov, the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, received a delegation led by Dr. Daniel Gold (BG Ret.), the Head of Israel’s Defense Research and Development Directorate (DDR&D) at the Israel Ministry of Defense (IMOD). Minister Hasanov expressed satisfaction with the current level of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel, particularly in the military-technical sphere.

Azerbaijan Hosts Serbian And UAE Delegations

On November 27, a delegation from the Belgrade University of Defense visited Azerbaijan in accordance with the military cooperation plan between the Ministries of Defense of Azerbaijan and Serbia. Discussions focused on cooperation in military education. On the same day, state representatives from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) visited Azerbaijan pursuant to the Agreement on Military Cooperation between the governments of the two countries. The delegates were briefed on the 44-day Patriotic War, the regional situation, and military cooperation in all fields.

Military Exercises

On November 28, the "Caucasian Eagle – 2025" joint tactical-special exercise was held in Ankara with the participation of Azerbaijani, Turkish, and Georgian special forces units. The exercise aimed to strengthen cooperation among the three countries in regional security and defense, enhancing interoperability, rapid-response capabilities, and combat training.

Georgia’s First Deputy Defense Minister Participates In SEDM Meeting

On November 28, Paata Patiashvili, the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Georgia, participated in the South-East European Ministry of Defense (SEDM) meeting held in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina. The joint statement issued at the meeting reaffirmed support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty and condemned the continued occupation of Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region by the Russian Federation. Patiashvili also emphasized promoting the integration of countries in the region into Euro-Atlantic structures.
