Local exercises
On August 5, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported that the tactical-special exercise in the Land Forces continued, focusing on the destruction of imaginary enemy targets using artillery, anti-aircraft missile systems, and weapons mounted on armored vehicles. These tasks were executed with high accuracy. The exercises, aimed at ensuring combat interoperability during unit interactions and enhancing the combat skills of servicemen, showcased a high level of professionalism.
On August 8, mechanized units of the Land Forces conducted live-fire tactical exercises at the combined-arms training range. The focus during these exercises was on improving the crews' knowledge and skills.
Georgia
US Congressional Delegation Discusses Regional Security with Georgian Defense Minister
On August 10, the Georgian Defense Ministry reported that a delegation from the United States Congress visited Georgia. The Georgian Minister of Defense, Irakli Chikovani, hosted Senator Jean Shaheen, Congressman Mike Turner, and other delegation members at the Ministry of Defense. During the meeting, the parties discussed regional security issues and the current challenges. The conversation also addressed the ongoing cooperation between Georgia and the United States in the defense field, with particular emphasis on the significant contribution of the Georgian Defense Forces to global security.
The meeting at the Ministry of Defense was also attended by the US Ambassador to Georgia, Robin Dunnigan, along with representatives from the US Embassy.
Armenia
